Hey You, behind the screen! Hi! Read this post carefully if you want to improve your Internet speed. So here is the list of what can be made:
1. Firstly, buy an unlocked modem. This will allow you to access many different networks that offer 3G access instead of being bound to one network. It will cost a little bit more, but you you won`t have to change your modem or firmware in case of your provider changing.
2. Secondly, try to change your DNS (if any) to an automatic one. Domain Name Server is required to convert the name to an IP address. If the DNS server has high traffic or it is loaded with plenty of users, this can slow your 3G connection.
3. Try to find out the programs that can work/update in background mode and "eat" traffic. After closing them the speed may be restored.
If you used all these tips and the speed didn`t changed, try speed-test and check your ping. If the speed is low, you will have to disturb your provider and annoy him)))
